How to choose a country for a second home
School, healthcare, the lease, and the residence rule matter more than a list of best places to live abroad.

People search for the best country to move to. There is no such list that survives a child’s school and a parent’s passport. A country that suits a couple with remote work can be wrong for a teenager who needs a specific curriculum, or for a parent who needs a specialist nearby.
Compare four things before you compare weather. Can this household get a lawful stay. Is there a school place in the year you would arrive. Can a foreigner sign the lease or buy, and what does the deposit look like. Who treats you if someone is ill in the first month, and will your insurance pay.
We will not rank a country as safe, cheap, or easy. We will put two or three places next to your facts: ages, passports, budget, and whether a birth, a company, or a parent’s care is part of the year. A lawyer confirms the visa. A doctor confirms the care. We keep the one plan.
