Dark by late afternoon. The heating is on. A litre of fuel has sat near two euros often enough that a full tank feels like a fine. The flat is correct, and it is still too small. The school is serious, and it was not built for a child who lives in two languages.
January, somewhere warmer
Rio in January is warm enough for the park after school. A home with a room for the baby can cost less than the flat you are stretching. Someone on WhatsApp already has the school list and the landing week. We will not tell you a whole country is safe, or that German schools are falling down. We will show you the street, the fee, and the person who stays.
Prices are our coordination fee. The lawyer, the hospital, the school, the nanny’s wage, and the mover are paid to them. VAT is added if it applies. A competitor’s list price is what they published, often before tax. We undercut the full-family and the specialist school files. We do not pretend to be cheaper than a €150 form.
