Nanny and childcare after a move
Childcare is the difference between two adults working and one adult stranded. We start it before the flight when the city has a waitlist, which it usually does.
Who this is for
Families with a baby, a toddler, or school hours that do not match a job. Not a staffing agency with a bench of employees.
What we look for
Language spoken to the child, hours, live-in or live-out, and a person who can legally work. A kindergarten place and a nanny are different contracts.
The employment
The family is the employer, or the nursery is. Local labour law sets the contract, the notice, and the tax. We introduce and we sit in the first conversation. We are not on the payroll.
Homeschool
Only where it is legal. In Germany it mostly is not. We will not help you hide a child from a school system that requires attendance.
Questions
Do you employ the nanny?
No. You do, on a local contract.
Can you hold a kindergarten seat?
We apply early. The city or the school holds the seat, if anyone does.
