International relocation checklist for families
Passports, school, visa, insurance, housing, and the landing week. In that order, not the order of panic.

Passports first, with enough validity to outlast the visa and the first school term. Children’s passports are their own booklets. A baby who does not exist yet is a different list, started with the embassy’s birth instructions.
School next: reports, any learning-support notes, and vaccines the new school will demand. Then the visa category, named by counsel, with apostilles and police certificates ordered before you need them.
Insurance that covers the flight and the first weeks, including maternity if relevant. A lease or a serviced apartment. A bank path that does not assume an account on day one.
The landing week is its own checklist: airport pickup with seats, keys, SIM, registration of the address where the country requires it, a doctor, and food in the kitchen. The container is not on this list.
We keep the working version of this list inside the mandate, with dates. A blog checklist cannot know your passport.
