Why families are asking for a second residence now
War, elections, health shocks, and a currency can all make a household want another lawful place to live. The plan is the same. The panic is not useful.

I grew up between countries, and I married into a second system. I do not need a headline to know why a family wants another door. This year the notes mention wars, elections, prices, and hospitals. The sentence under all of them is the same: we want to know we could go.
What the news changes, and what it does not
A war, a political shock, or a health crisis can change the date. It does not change the law. No country becomes a safe Plan B because a post said so. A residence permit still has rules, a school still has a waiting list, and a landlord still wants a deposit.
A calm version of the same question
Keep the option smaller than the fear
You do not have to move this year. You do have to know which passport can apply where, and what “live there” would do to tax, school, and work. That is a written page, not a flight.
Do not buy a promise
If someone offers a passport because the news is bad, ask for the statute and the lawyer’s name. We will not be that offer. We coordinate the country, the home, and the introductions. Licensed people do the regulated work.
The families who handle this well decide the option while they still have time. They do not decide it in a queue.
